Week 1: Endless Life Brewing, Crown Heights
Where: Endless Life Brewing, 585 Franklin Ave, Brooklyn
When: Tuesday Nights, 7:30PM
How We Did: 10th place
Overall Rating: ★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ 4/10
Endless Life Brewing is brightly lit, oddly shaped, and purple. Pop in off of Franklin Av into a storefront that looks suspiciously like Insomnia Cookies.
You'll find white collar 30-somethings sipping on a draft of Satellites Are Spinning (A lambic inspired pale sour ale aged in oak wine barrels) or perhaps Mirrors of Apprenhensions while they wait for trivia to start.
Above the bar, a 72" flat screen plays a short slideshow of the brewery's history on repeat.

At 7:30, paper trivia sheets are brought out, and the questions begin. A tangent, here, on my love for a good old-fashioned paper trivia sheet. There's nothing I hate more on a trivia night than staring at my phone, and the paper sheet has sadly become an endangered creature in NYC trivia nights.
The questions are refreshingly hard, and our poor team (name: "The Snail") does not rise to the occasion. There are 4 rounds, one of which each team may declare "bonus" before for double points. On this evening, they were Literature and Authors (our bonus), Places, General Knowledge, and a 90's focused music round.
We enjoyed the serious trivia crowd, and the difficulty of the questions. Ultimately, though, the vibes were as sour as the pretentious ale, and we will not be returning.

Julia, rampant on a field of purple.
